US Disbands Crypto Enforcement Unit

The US Justice Department is disbanding the Crypto Enforcement Unit and redirecting its prosecutors to focus on the use of digital assets in criminal offenses such terrorism, narcotics, and organized crime. The unit known as NCET was created and launch in Feb 2022 in an effort to combat fraud and illicit finance and had pursued borderline cases in the past many of which have since been dropped. Trump has vowed to make the US the "crypto capital of the planet" and this move will further on him reversing the previous direction of the US. The goal of the new government is to help ensure that both individuals and private sector companies can interaction with crypto and blockchain networks without persecution. This is another bullish move for crypto and the government continuing to make the path to use crypto easier.
